Speakers

Gavan Dwyer

Gavan is Associate Director at Marsden Jacob Associates, advising government and industry on agriculture and resource economics. His experience includes dairy economics, RDE design, productivity analysis, water policy, social impact assessment, and biosecurity program design. He previously held senior roles in Victoria’s DPI and the Productivity Commission and is a long standing contributor to AARES (2023 Distinguished Fellow, Past President, Treasurer, and Branch President).

You are warmly invited to an in person meeting of the AARES Victorian Branch at Melbourne University on Thursday, 26 March 2026, from 5:00–6:00 pm (AEST) and afterwards at University House.

We are pleased to welcome Gavan Dwyer (Marsden Jacob Associates), who will speak on: First Nations People and Agriculture with a focus on land access issues, governance, institutional settings, and covenant matters.
