Venue

Description

Dear AARES NSW members and friends,

We're calling on all early career researchers (ECRs: including currently enrolled research students and researchers who are at the early stage of their careers) to join us for an online panel discussion on how ECRs in agricultural, environmental, food, and resource economics and in agribusiness can progress their careers in different sectors. We have invited four panellists who have worked in academia (Tiho Ancev), government (Michael Harris), non-governmental organisations (Garry Goucher) and the private consultancy sector (Emily Ray) to share their career experience and answer questions from ECRs.

The event has a complementary in-person dinner in Sydney, which is kindly funded by RAID (Researchers in Agriculture for International Development). The RAID representative Soumi Paul Mukhopadhyay (from NSW DPIE) will join us for the online discussion and the dinner. The dinner provides an excellent opportunity for ECRs to connect with their peers and continue the conversation with our panellists!

About our panellists:

He has consulted for a number of government agencies and industry organisations.
