Agricultural sectors, natural resources, urban and environmental management, and society more broadly are facing a range of challenges that are linked to transitioning to a sustainable future. These challenges include identifying pathways towards decarbonisation and preserving biodiversity, ensuring food security and affordability through resilient supply chains, and governing emerging technologies.

The 2025 AARES conference will explore these and other challenges in the transition process, including the implications for policy and research.
